Let’s get your 4th of July on Hudson Valley!
City of Kingston Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks
When: July 4th, @ 5-9 pm
Where: T.R. Gallo Park
The music lineup, presented by 92.9 WBPM, Rondout Savings Bank, The Reis Group, and WMC Health Alliance Hospital, includes:
5:00 pm – Ivory Rose (Pop)
6:30 pm – Geezüs Butlers (Arena Rock)
8:00 pm – Mister Kick (Dance Rock, R&B & Hits)
After the music performances, Mayor Noble will welcome the crowd at 9:15 pm, followed by a Color Guard flag presentation and the national anthem. The fireworks display, presented by Mainetti & Mainetti, PC, and O’Connor & Partners PLLC, will begin at 9:30 pm, launched from the Wurts Street (Old Rt. 9W) Bridge. The best view is between the Route 9W Bridge and the Wurts Street Bridge at lower Broadway and T.R. Gallo Park.

Walkway Over the Hudson 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular
When: Thursday, July 4, 2019, @ 7 – 10 pm
Where: Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
Cost: $12.50 for adults, kids 10 and under are free – The Walkway will be open to ticket holders only to view the City of Poughkeepsie’s 4th of July fireworks display. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks will launch on Friday, July 5.
PLEASE NOTE: On July 4, the Walkway will begin closing procedures at 4 p.m. for event setup and safety preparations. The bridge will reopen to those with valid wristbands beginning at 7 p.m. and remain open until 10 p.m. The City of Poughkeepsie fireworks are scheduled to launch between 9-9:30 p.m.
During the event…
• Food and beverage concessions will be available.
• Seating may be set up on the south side of the Walkway in designated viewing sections only.
• Please bring a flashlight to assist with exiting the event.
• Bathrooms are located on the approaches to the Walkway on both sides of the Park and inside the gates.
• Please setup any photographic tripods away from congested areas.
The Friends of the Walkway, a nonprofit organization, are a proud lead sponsor of the City of Poughkeepsie’s fireworks display, along with other local businesses. No refunds will be issued. Proceeds from ticket sales help fund fireworks, emergency services, and Walkway programs.
Inclement weather postponement will be announced on local radio stations, on walkway.org, and on the Walkway Over the Hudson Facebook page.

Come celebrate Independence Day with us at the orchard and enjoy a day filled with crisp cider, BBQ food and all things red, white and blue! Take the self-guided tour of our cider house and choose from a variety of exclusive ciders for your complimentary tasting, including a Strawberry infused cider only available this day! We will have live music from 5-8pm from Country Fresh, who will have the crowd moving with their country sounds! Amuzae will be offering only the best BBQ food menu to complete your celebrations. The tasting bar will close at 5:45 pm but our draft bar will be open all day!

4th of July on Bannerman Island
When: July 4th, 2019 @ 7-9:30 pm
Where: Cruise from Beacon Waterfront to Bannerman Island
Cost: 12+ up/ $40, 11 & under $35
Includes a walking tour of the island. with a Bannerman Castle Trust historian. There will be a sneak peek of the new Bannerman Residence Visitor Center, which is scheduled to open in late July. Light refreshments will be served on this tour and a cruise back to Beacon waterfront.
The Bannerman Castle Trust Inc., in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, provides a public tour of Bannerman Castle and Pollepel Island. All proceeds will benefit the Pollepel Island and Bannerman Castle preservation efforts, to ensure many can experience this beautiful place for generations to come.
4th of July at New Windsor Cantonment & Knox’s Headquarters
When: Thursday, July 4th, @ 2 – 4 pm / 10 – 4 pm

The New Windsor Cantonment and Knox’s Headquarters is set to present a day of Revolutionary War activities on Thursday, July 4th.
The day will begin at 1 pm with military drill demonstrations and a cannon firing, followed by a children’s wooden musket drill. Attendees will be able to tour the 1754 Ellison House, the military command post for three generals.
10 am, At Knox’s Headquarters house tours go hourly starting at 10 – 4 pm
1 & 4 pm, the firing of 4 1/2 ” bronze Coehorn mortar small cannon
3 pm, Reading of the Declaration of Independence
Throughout the day authentically dressed soldiers and civilians will share stories of life from that exciting time. Knox’s Headquarters, the Ellison House, honors the site’s namesake General Henry Knox, Washington’s chief of artillery. In addition to the special programs and activities, the New Windsor Cantonment Visitor Center is open.
Great American Weekend 2019
When: Saturday, July 6, 2019 – 9 – 5 pm/ Sunday, July 7, 2019 – 10 – 5 pm
Where: First Presbyterian Church Park, 33 Park Place, Goshen
Since 1982, the Great American Weekend has been a tradition that defines Goshen as a Great American Community. Originally intended to bolster attendance at the Historic Track after betting was eliminated, the Great American Weekend offers activities for every member of the family and has grown into one of the county’s most prestigious events.
Fun for all ages, 20K people a day stroll the nine-acre village surrounding the First Presbyterian Church, Hudson Valley Magazine’s, Ted Speigel, wrote it is “arguably the Hudson Valley’s liveliest Fourth of July celebration…(attendees) inspecting the offerings at 150 craft booths, grazing their way through a culinary snackopedia, and clapping approval for local entertainers.”
This community event has funded many amazing programs benefiting the entire community. Revenue, generated by vendor fees, supports scholarships, grants, and programs which serve the Greater Goshen area.
City of Peekskill Independence Day Parade & Celebration
When: July 4th, @10am, and 7 pm

July 4th Parade at 10 am in downtown Peekskill
City of Peekskill’s annual Independence Day Celebration, 7 pm: Billy and the Showmen – Specializing in hard-driving R&B, soul, and funk from the 60s and 70s, Billy and the Showmen will kick off the show sponsored by Walmart. The band’s repertoire includes the best of James Brown; Rick James; Percy Sledge; Blood, Sweat & Tears; Marvin Gaye; Wilson Pickett; Tower of Power; Kool & the Gang; and Otis Redding as well as classic Motown artists such as the Temptations and Sam & Dave. Fireworks will follow the performance at around 9:00 pm.
Town of Wallkill Fireworks Extravaganza

Live music from Black Dirt Bandits followed by a set from DJ Jason Jaso leading into an incredible fireworks show presented by The Town of Wallkill and Mayor Ed A. Diana.
