High on a hilltop in the historic Hudson Valley, Faraway Farm is home to award-winning huacaya alpacas prized for their soft, colorful fleece. A renovated sheep barn houses a farm store offering homegrown yarn and a variety of handmade alpaca products, such as hats, scarves, sweaters, rugs and sofa throws. Yarn is offered in 100% alpaca or blended with other natural fibers such as merino, angora, silk or bamboo. Each skein of yarn is labeled with the name of the contributing alpaca.

Farm tours and store hours are by appointment only.

Just 40 miles north of New York City, the farm is often chosen as a location by fashion magazines, wedding photographers, theater companies, television shows and independent photographers. Leda and Steve also host educational tours, workshops, and seminars throughout the year. Join the farm’s mailing list to find out about upcoming events: www.FarawayFarmAlpacas.com
