Originally in 1908, the 25-room, four-building estate was built by Charles E. Rushmore, the financier and attorney of Mt. Rushmore’s namesake. This spectacular Spanish Colonial-style mansion served as a place for Rushmore’s ill wife, Jeannette, to rest. The pristine grounds and privacy provided a perfect respite from the hustle and rush of New York City.

Today the Rushmore Estate has been preserved with much of its original condition and maintains four suites available for guests. With its spectacular 50 private acres, an infinity pool, lake, hiking trails, and more, Rushmore Estate is the perfect place for a private getaway or to plan a wedding.
