Onyx is a variety of the mineral chalcedony. It is from the same family as agate, chrysoprase, bloodstone, and carnelian. Onyx has been used to make jewelry and other objects for millennia. It was often used in the Vitctorian era for mourning jewelry and is the traditional choice of those wanting the deepest black, somber hue. this cuff bracelet is simple and understated. Black and silver is a classic color combination and one of my favorites. The cuff is offered in three sizes–5 1/2″, 6″, and 6 1/2″. Stamped ‘sterling’ on the inside bottom edge of the cuff.
