Full Moon Hike
iHeart Hudson Valley is excited to team up with Meg Sweeten from The Soul Cabin for monthly hikes on the full moon. Join us for easy, yet mindful walks throughout the Hudson Valley, and add a little magic to your steps by learning about the wisdom of the full moon each month. A fun way to make time for outdoor activity and meet new friends, including dogs!
First Full Moon Hike:
- When: October 20th, 2021, 5 pm
- Where: Cornish Estate Trail – 3200 Stearn Rd, Cold Spring, NY 10516
- Cost: Free
- Dogs: Well behaved dogs allowed
- Length: just about 2 miles out and back
On our first hike, we will be exploring cool ruins in the Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve. We will meet at the parking lot at Little Stony Point just before 5 pm. Please bring flashlights for walking back after dark, drinks, and a snack if you like. Rain cancels the event. See below for a description of the hike from Alltrails.
Cornish Estate Trail is a 1.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Cold Spring, New York that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is best used from April until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail. This is the easiest hike in Hudson Highlands State Park, as much of it is on the concrete driveway of the old Stern-Cornish Estate, with a quite gentle ascent to the estate ruins.
